SSAE 18 Report changes - What do the new AICPA attestation standards SSAE 18 mean for Your SOC compliance

April 21, 2017

As more and more businesses choose to outsource functions to service providers, there is an increasing need for thorough Service Organization Control (SOC) reports to ensure confidence between both parties. In April 2016, the Auditing Standards Board with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants issued a Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 18, Attestation Standards: Clarification and Recodification. SSAE replaces an existing standard and will be effective for SOC 1, SOC 2 and SOC 3 reports dated on or after May 1, 2017.

Find a summary of key SSAE 18 changes and learn how your organization can start preparing in our complimentary report.
